Can Fly Fishing days get any better than this ?

A truly awesome and unforgettable day for Lee, Rueben, Jamie, Dave, Jason & Andrew who attended our Stillwater Workshop at Maran Lakes.

Days such as these offer so much more than just ‘learning’… Today we’ve brought seven fly anglers ( if you include me ) together and every one of us had an absolute blast from start to finish. Whenever you read about the connection to wellbeing and fishing, it’s true ! I honestly reckon that the lads would have enjoyed today every bit as much if they hadn’t caught anything ……. However….. I’m sure that you guys already know that here at YFFS’s we combine everything… we provide the highest level of tuition, definitely the highest level of banter and the highest levels of fish to go with it !

Sadly I’m unable to lay out our formats and strategies online so I’ll cut it short here by telling you how the lads got on…

Together, they collectively returned 65 fish giving a rod average of over ten fish per angler which is simply amazing and testament to their combined level of ability and ability to follow instruction.
As always, every angler caught plenty of fish today..

We covered, setting up, front runner flies, casting, various retrieves, playing fish, indicators, buzzers etc and importantly, how to find the best technique fast !
Everyone did incredibly well today but special mentions must go to Lee & David… Lee finished up as todays top rod by landing 21 fish, smashing his previous pb return of 14… and David, also finishing up in the high teens, for landing a stunning conditioned resident brownie…
